Instagram is rolling out the ability to add music to your profile: Here's how to use

Instagram on Friday announced a new feature that allows users to add music to their profile, much like Myspace in the old days. The feature was spotted in testing for some time and it’s now available to everyone globally, including India. This new feature adds a new way for people to express their interests or tastes on the platform. Let’s see how this feature works and how you can use it now. Instagram’s new feature lets you add a song to your profile

Instagram’s new lets you select the choice of your music or song and add it to your profile. While this feature may have multiple uses, it’s great as it allows users to let others know about their taste or mood. Here’s how you can use the feature. Step 2: Tap on your profile in the bottom right corner.

Step 3: Tap on Edit profile.

Step 4: Now, tap on the Music section and select tap on the “+” icon.

Step 5: Select the choice of your song, just like you’d do when adding music to your Instagram Story.

Step 6: Select the part of music or song you want and tap on Done.

That’s how you can easily add music to your profile. Anyone who opens your profile will be able to see the music icon and tap on it to listen. Users can add up to 30 second-long portion of a song.

Other than this, Instagram is working on several other features behind the scenes. Some of them are already available. For instance, the ability to add a note to a reel is now available to everyone.

Instagram also added the ability to add up to 20 tracks to a single reel recently, which makes posting reels more fun. Additionally, the Add Yours music sticker is also available to users.
