Valve is possibly working on a Steam Console to compete with PS5, Xbox Series X|S

The console market is going to heat up pretty soon, at least the rumors suggest the same. In a recent leak, it has been revealed that Valve is also planning to drop a Steam Console to compete directly with the Xbox and PlayStation consoles. According to a popular content creator and insider, eXtas1s has shared a new video on his YouTube channel. In the video, the creator has claimed that Valve is currently working on a Steam console that will change the current landscape of gaming and it will directly compete with the likes of Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Valve Steam Console details

As said by the creator, Valve is playing a major role in the development of drivers for AMD 9070 graphics processing unit (GPU). This could be a major sign that the brand is working on a Steam Deck console and it will be based on the SteamOS. It is also being said that the AMD 9070 drivers will support third-party manufacturers who are willing to offer their own desktop console along with the SteamOS license. Previously, the SteamDB tracking tool discovered new Valve brand guidelines consisting of one that said, Powered by SteamOS. The logo with the same guideline suggests that we can soon get to see a device that will operate on the SteamOs as well. Until now, we only have seen the Steam Deck which offers a lot of things that a gamer wants. Apart from that, a console by Steam will surely give tough competition to Xbox and PS5 in the global market.
