Ubisoft Forward takes place in June: What to expect

Ubisoft Forward is scheduled for June 10 in Los Angeles, the same day as Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event. Unfortunately, Ubisoft hasn’t revealed the exact announcements that it will make at the event. However, as it is the norm every year, expect the company to showcase its next slate of video games.

Back in February, in its earnings report, Ubisoft confirmed that it will reveal some key details about its upcoming projects in May. It appears these announcements could be done at the Forward event, a month early.

Certainly, Ubisoft will reveal some updates for the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The company already has a few projects lined up such as the Assassin’s Creed Infinity. The Infinity will be a hub where players can switch between different historical worlds with simultaneous progression of the modern day. Assassin’s Creed Codename Red and Codename Hexe will be the two games under Infinity.

We did get a short teaser of the Codename Red and there have been sporadic leaks. However, we do not know anything significant yet. All we know is that it will be set in feudal Japan. As for the Heux, it is said to be a very different AC title. It is being developed by the Ubisoft Montreal team. The game will be set in 16th Century England.

Apart from this, there’s Assassin’s Creed Jade, a mobile game that will be available on Android and iOS. Ubisoft during its announcement said that it wants to give an authentic AC experience on mobile. The game will be set in 215 BCE China. Jade will be the first game to let players create their own assassin, unlike other AC titles.

TRENDING NOW

Other than the AC games, expect something on Star Wars Outlaws as it is set to release sometime in 2024. Further, we are also awaiting for The Division Resurgence and Rainbow Six Mobile. Both should be available for playing on Android and iOS soon. So, it makes sense for Ubisoft to reveal details about these devices at Ubisoft Forward.
