Fortnite

Epic Games might be planning to make Fortnite tougher and more challenging for players to win in the classic Battle Royale mode. According to a reliable new leak, the number of bots per match has officially been reduced. This could make it harder for gamers to get easy kills and truly test their skills during a Victory Royale.

Bots in Fortnite Reduced

Bots were originally added to the game to give players a chance to get extra kills. But now, with so many players becoming pros, Epic Games has decided to make the full lobby more unpredictable. This not only increases the competition among players but also brings the most skilled ones to the top.

According to popular Fortnite leaker HYPEX, the maximum number of bots in Battle Royale has been lowered from 75 to 65. This means gamers will now face at least 35 real players in every match. This tweak makes total sense, considering the game has exploded in popularity and Battle Royale is still the most-played mode. It makes the fast-paced gameplay even more intense, turning every win into a much more rewarding experience.

Plus, this follows another notable update that made controller aim assist more accurate for console players, making it easier to hit targets smoothly. So in a way, Fortnite is balancing things out, reducing bots while upgrading aim assist.

Strategic Shift for Fortnite

It’s no secret that Fortnite has gradually increased the bot count over the years. Many gamers have been calling out Epic Games about this, and it looks like the devs are finally making a move. This reduction could mark a shift in Epic’s long-term strategy, favouring more real competition over bot-filled lobbies. However, for now, the change seems to apply only to Battle Royale and not other modes like Zero Build or Team Rumble.

Even though dropping 10 bots might seem minor, it could fundamentally change how matches play out. More real players mean smarter plays, trickier fights, and more satisfying wins. It could also impact matchmaking time, as the game will now need to cherry-pick more real players instead of instantly filling with bots. It’ll be interesting to see how the servers handle this update, and it might even lead to players engaging in more intense battles rather than farming easy kills.
