
Krafton India has announced the esports plans for the second half of 2025, revealing that two major tournaments promise to shake up the BGMI competitive scene. The gaming giant is hosting the Battlegrounds Showdown 2025 (BMSD) and BGMI International Cup (BGIC). The Battlegrounds Showdown 2025 (BMSD) will host top domestic teams; however, the BGMI International Cup (BGIC) will feature leading international squads from Korea and Japan.
Krafton India has announced that host two major esports events, namely the Battlegrounds Showdown 2025 (BMSD) and BGMI International Cup (BGIC). Both events will carry 1 crore prize pools, giving Indian players a chance to compete for glory. In addition, it will also allow them to earn a spot in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC).
The BMSD 2025 or Battlegrounds Showdown 2025 is a domestic esports event slated to take place in Hyderabad. The competition will invite the top 48 teams from India. The team’s invitation will be based on past performances in BGIS and BMPS tournaments.
The top team in the competition will directly qualify for PMGC; however, the top 8 teams will further participate in the BGMI International Cup. The finals of BMSD are scheduled from October 10 to 12, 2025, offering fans the thrill of live esports action in India.
The BGMI International Cup 2025 is a three-day LAV event from October 31 to November 2. The competition will bring 4 Korean and Japanese teams to challenge India’s top squads.
These tournaments demonstrate Krafton India’s commitment to strengthening competitive BGMI while providing Indian teams with international exposure. With substantial prize pools, pathways to PMGC, and a mix of domestic and global talent, the BMSD and BGMI International Cup are set to energize the Indian esports ecosystem.
