Intel Core Ultra 200V series had made a debut in the IFA 2024 event. The second-generation AI processors from Intel will give tough competition to offerings from Qualcomm and AMD. As claimed by Intel, the chipsets deliver a speed of 120 trillion operations per second (TOPS) clubbed with multiple AI-based features. These chipsets are being hailed as the first from Intel to attain the Microsoft Copilot+ standard.

Intel Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake series specifications and features

Intel Core Ultra 200V series offers 50% higher power efficiency as compared to its predecessor. The series consists of 9 laptop processors packing eight CPU cores and eight GPU cores each. Four of the eight CPU cores are Lion Cove performance cores and the other four are Skymont efficiency cores. All the 9 processors from the series ship with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM.

They also get the Intel Xe2 graphics microarchitecture which is said to have 30 percent enhanced performance as compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor. Laptops with Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors will be able to connect up to three 4K monitors. The series also supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 (with LE audio) connectivity, and Gigabit Ethernet connection. In addition, the processor also supports two USB 3.0 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, and three Thunderbolt 4 ports.

Intel stated that all the processors, except Core Ultra 9, will have a 17 TDP by default. The chipmaker has also said that the latest range of cPUs will perform around 10 percent faster than their predecessors at 9W and 17W. As for the availability of the processors, they will be available on more than 80 laptops in selected markets. The laptops will be from popular brands like Lenovo, MSI, Asus, Acer, Dell, etc. The machines with the latest processors will start shipping on September 24, 2024.
