Rockstar Games is all set for its upcoming GTA 6 launch, and fans are buzzing about what could be offered by Rockstar’s blockbuster series. The first trailer of GTA 6 hinted at breathtaking visuals and a return to the Vice City, still, there are several technical sides of the game that have stirred up plenty of discussions. One of the most important aspects of the upcoming GTA 6 is its frame rate, and the new reports and rumors suggest that GTA 6 could run at 60 frames per second. But it goes with a twist.
The recent reports indicate that GTA 6 could be brought at the 60 frames per second, but that too only if you are playing it on the PlayStation 5 Pro. This will not just mark a major shift in how Rockstar approaches console optimization, but also what interesting visual and graphics it could bring.
To recall, GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 were launched with the 30FPS cap. Nevertheless, that standard might be changing now with GTA 6 coming with 60FPS. As per latest leaks, Sony is working closely with Rockstar in order to ensure GTA 6 delivers a 60FPS experience to gamers and players. This experience will be delivered on the PS5 Pro. The reports further says that this performance goal will be apply across all graphical presets.
If this turns out to be true, it would be a groundbreaking move for Rockstar, signaling a shift toward higher frame rate standards that gamers have long demanded. However, it could impact the Indian audience because the PS5 Pro is not available in India and will not be available in future too due to the ongoing issue with the 6 GHz wireless band and its potential use in Wi-Fi 7.
It’s worth noting that this smoother experience is reportedly exclusive to the PS5 Pro. It can be noted that this less rough experience is only claimed to be available to the PS5 Pro. Whereas the established PS5 already performs well in most AAA games, the Pro version is likely to be endowed with increased power and cooling. It could possibly be the only console available in the Sony line to be able to reach a steady 60FPS in GTA 6.
However, interestingly, the expected partnership also implies that, on the same date as the game, PS5 Pro bundles and PS software updates might be released. This might be an indication of a bigger business partnership between Sony and Rockstar to market the new console as the optimal means to play GTA 6.
