Fortnite update to bring Star Wars, Chewbacca to the game: Check launch date, details here

Fortnite update: Star Wars is coming to Fortnite! Epic Games will roll out Fortnite version 29.40 on May 3. This update will bring Star Wars inspired characters, weapons and adventures to various games in the Fortnite Universe, which includes the popular Battle Royale game, LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival and Fortnite Rocket Racing.

“Head to LEGO Fortnite to unlock Star Wars Builds and Decor, or fight off enemies with a Wookiee Bowcaster by your side in Battle Royale. Rock out in a Mos Eisley Cantina-inspired area at the Festival Jam Stage, and unlock a Podracer and Darth Maul Decal in Rocket Racing,” Team Fortnite wrote in a blog post.

Fortnite Star Wars update: What’s new in Fortnite Battle Royale?

Here are all the new Star Wars inspired characters, weapons and experiences coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale:

Chewbacca
Millennium Falcon co-pilot Chewbacca is coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale. Fortnite says that in the game, the Wookiee warrior will be capture and players will have to save him from the Empire. Once Chewbacca has been saved, he will help the players in their battle.

Wookiee Bowcaster
Saving Chewbacca will earn players his weapon, that is, Wookiee Bowcaster. Players can also get it inside one the Imperial Chests at Imperial Roadblocks, where Chewbacca will be held captive. This weapon is capable of shooting individual quarrels quickly and shoot heavy explosive shot.

Darth Vader’s Lightsaber
During this crossover, Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers will be returning to the BR Island in the Lambda Shuttle. In the game, players will have to defeat Darth Vader to pick up his lightsaber. Lightsaber will help users to block incoming fire and swing at enemies.

E-11 Blasters
On defeating Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers, players will also get access to their E-11 Blasters. This weapon can also be gained from Imperial Chests at Darth Vader’s landing sites.

Star Wars Quests
— This update will also bring new Star Wars Quests to the game. Fortnite says that players will receive a Battle Pass Level Up for completing five of the Star Wars Quests.

— Players will get the AWR Pack Back Bling for completing ten Star Wars Quests.

— Battle Royale’s Star Wars Quests will be released in two phases during the crossover. The first one will take place at 9AM ET (6:30PM IST) on May 3 and the second one will take place at 9AM ET (6:30PM IST) on May 7.

— The Star Wars bash, including the Quests, will end at 9AM ET (6:30PM IST) on May 14.

Star Wars inspired outfits
— The upcoming update will also bring Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian, and AWR Trooper Outfits in the Shop starting May 3.

— In addition to that, the update will also bring a bunch of Star Wars Series Outfits throughout this crossover. Here’s the list:

a) Original Trilogy era: Boba Fett, Han Solo, Imperial Stormtrooper, Leia Organa

b) New Trilogy era: Finn, Kylo Ren, Rey, Sith Trooper, Zorii Bliss

Beskar Car Body Bundle

Beskar Car Body bundle will also be available in the shop starting May 3. This bundle includes: Beskar Car Body, Beskar (Din Djarin) Wheels, The Armorer Beskar Decal, Beskar (Armorer) Wheels, Boba Fett Beskar Decal, Beskar (Boba Fett) Wheels, Bo-Katan Kryze Beskar Decal, Beskar (Bo-Katan Kryze) Wheels, Sabine Wren Beskar Decal and Beskar (Sabine Wren) Wheels.
