Fortnite Battle Pass rewards will no longer be exclusive after this policy change

Fortnite players who gear up to purchase the Battle Pass for rewards may no longer have to forcefully buy it immediately, as its rewards may be available in the shop later. Yes, Fortnite is making an important change that will allow more players to enjoy the rewards of Battle Passes even after they are gone. As per the new policy change, users will be able to see Battle Pass rewards in the Store for purchase. Epic says that it will let players enjoy the content as they keep playing the game.

Fortnite Battle Pass rewards may be available later in the shop

Fortnite in its blog post confirmed that Fortnite Battle Passes could be offered for purchase in the shop several months after their initial availability. Also, they may include a different number of alt styles, giving players access to varied rewards.

“Items in future Fortnite Battle Passes might be offered for purchase in the Fortnite Shop after 18 or more months from the Battle Pass’ expiration. A Battle Pass item may include a different number of its alt Styles each time it comes to the Shop.”

That said, this change will only affect the forthcoming Battle Passes. Epic says it will allow them to continue investing in new and exciting Battle Pass rewards. Those who purchase the Battle Pass may also not have to worry, as although some of the items may not be exclusive, they may be available only after 18 months of the expiration of the Battle Pass.

“This change lets us continue investing in new and exciting Battle Pass rewards while enabling players down the road to also enjoy the content, including Outfits based on popular licensed characters.”

As per the blog post, all types of items will be eligible to be in the shop later. This includes Outfits, Back Blings, Pickaxes, emotes, Instruments, Decals, Wraps, Loading Screens, Banner Icons, and more.

While all types of items can be available in the shop, not all items are guaranteed to return after 18+ months. Epic says that the Shop selection is dependent on a variety of factors, and there is no guarantee that a Battle Pass item will come to the shop.
