Interestingly, you don’t need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription to play the game for free. All you need to do is head to the Cyberpunk 2077 page on the respective stores and add the game to your library without paying anything.
Once added to your game library, you will get 5 hours of playtime. This means you can either complete the full trial in one go or play in parts in the said timeframe.
This is a great opportunity for those who own a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S console but haven’t played the game yet. The game costs Rs 2,999 on the PlayStation store and Rs 3,490 on the Microsoft store.
As for now, Sony gives a game trial for those with a PlayStation Plus Dlux subscription. But thankfully, anyone can get this trial version with the new free weekend offer by CD Projekt Red.
The total size of the game is around 100GB so make sure you have that much space left in your console. You will also require an unlimited internet connection in order to play the title without any issues.
Cyberpunk 2077 received critical ratings upon launch back in 2020 owing to performance and stability issues. However, the makers frequently updated the game and now the title has positive ratings across platforms.
For those who are uninitiated with the game, it is an open-world title set in the year 2077. The action game has a fictional city called the Night City and the players can choose between three lifepaths – Corpo, Nomad, or Street Kid. You’d be playing as V who navigates a dystopian society in which there’s almost no distinction between humanity and technology.
Back in 2022, there was a Cyberpunk series called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The series was popular in no time translating some viewers into players of the actual game.
