Microsoft’s Activision acquisition is bearing fruit as the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on day 1 on Game Pass. With this, Xbox gamers, especially on Game Pass, will no longer feel left out when it comes to the Call of Duty titles. Microsoft looks to reap the sales benefits from the game as it’s a Black Ops title we are talking about, after all.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on Game Pass on its release day, noted Microsoft in a blog post on Tuesday. This will allow Microsoft to earn some revenue through Game Pass, alongside the income gathered from the direct sales on Xbox and PC. The latter may not be anywhere close to the sales revenue generated from the rival platform PlayStation.
The upcoming Black Ops title is scheduled for announcement immediately after the Xbox Game Showcase on June 9. The company shared a small live-action reveal trailer of the game and we are stoked.
Before announcing the name and the trailer of the Black Ops 6, the company quietly created a website with a URL – thetruthlies.com. The website is still live and has a retro Television set. The TV has six channels, which indicates the 6th Black Ops title. Interestingly, only the first two channels show a teaser of the game, hinting that we will likely see more teasers of the game on the other channels.
One of the teasers showcased several people climbing Mount Rushmore and defacing it. Another teaser revealed a news channel reporting about the same incident. This theme aligns with the Black Ops series. Interestingly, players can also download the teaser by tapping the record (REC) button.
To get an update, we checked the website recently and it shows a Channel Guide on the first channel now, dropping some hints for the Black Ops series fans. As of now, we do not know much about the game, however, we should learn more soon. The announcement is on June 9, which is not too far away. That said, we don’t have to wait for too long.
