Realme GT 6 has just arrived as the company’s latest flagship phone, featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which is all the rage right now, packing a display with a maximum brightness of 6,000 nits, and AI sprinkled all over its software. This shiny phone comes across as a solid option for about Rs 40,000, but even with all the bells and whistles, it has stiff competition. The new Xiaomi 14 Civi democratises the company’s exclusive partnership with Leica for professional-level photography to bring high-grade camera algorithms. Xiaomi’s new phone also uses top-end hardware that most customers will find appealing. And while the lack of AI tools may be a deal-breaker for some buyers, Xiaomi may likely roll out generative AI features in future. That makes it a compelling option against the Realme GT 6. Display: The Realme GT 6 offers a bigger display than the Xiaomi 14 Civi. It has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Its refresh rate maxes out at 120Hz. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Civi has a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
Processor: Both phones use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, meaning their performance is on par with each other. You get up to 16GB of RAM on the Realme GT 6, while the Xiaomi 14 Civi has a maximum RAM capacity of 12GB. Both phones offer up to 512GB of storage with no support for a microSD card.
Cameras: The Realme GT 6 has a 50MP wide camera using a Sony LYT 808 sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Civi has a 50MP wide camera with Leica algorithms, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. Both phones support 4K video recording with stereo audio. The Realme GT 6 and Xiaomi 14 Civi have 32MP front-facing cameras, but the latter also has a secondary 32MP ultrawide camera on the front.
Battery: The Realme GT 6 has a bigger 5500mAh battery than the Xiaomi 14 Civi’s 4700mAh battery. The former supports 120W fast charging, while Xiaomi’s phone has support for 67W fast charging technology. None supports wireless charging, though.
