Nothing has launched a spruced-up version of the recent Phone 2a called the Phone 2a Plus. It brings a faster processor, a durable body, faster battery charging, and a minor camera upgrade. It is essentially meant for people who want to buy the Phone 2a but wish it had some more bells and whistles. The Phone 2a Plus has slightly better specifications than the Phone 2a for a higher price. Nothing Phone 2a Plus vs Phone 2a: Specifications

Display: The Phone 2a Plus has almost the same display as the Phone 2a. Both phones have a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display’s screen-to-body ratio is 87.2 percent, but the Phone 2a Plus’ screen has a 395 PPI pixel density compared to 394 PPI on Phone 2a. You get Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both phones.

Processor: This is the biggest difference between the phones. The Phone 2a Plus has an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro clocked at 3GHz, while the Phone 2a uses a 2.8GHz Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset. Both phones have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with no microSD card support. The new phone runs Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6 compared to Phone 2a’s Nothing OS 2.5.

Cameras: While the rear cameras on both phones are more or less the same, the Phone 2a Plus has an upgraded selfie camera. It has a 50MP selfie camera with 4K video recording, while the Phone 2a features a 32MP front camera. The rear cameras include a 50MP wide sensor and a 50MP ultrawide sensor with 4K video recording.

Battery: The Phone 2a Plus has a 5000mAh battery. So does the Phone 2a. However, the charging speed on the former is 50W whereas the regular Phone 2a supports only 45W fast charging.
