Google has officially announced a price cut on old Pixel models, just after the release of the all-new Google Pixel 9 series. The Google Pixel 8 series, including the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel 8a, and the Pixel 7a, are now cheaper by up to Rs 7,000. Interested buyers can shop for the phones at the revised prices starting today. However, we recommend buyers to also look for other discounts on online portals. Let’s see the exact price cut on the old Pixel phones, and check if it’s even worth it to buy the old Pixels now.
The Google Pixel 7a and the Pixel 8 models have received a minimum price discount of Rs 2,000 and go all the way up to Rs 7,000. The Pixel 8 Pro has received a major price cut with 7,000 off than its launch price. Here’s the revised price list of the old Pixel models that you can still officially buy in India.
These are all the new prices of the old Pixel phones. While the price cut may not be that appealing for some models, it’s still welcome. But we recommend interested buyers to check prices online, for instance: Flipkart is currently selling the Pixel 8 for Rs 54,999 and Pixel 7a for Rs 36,999, which is way lower than the MRP. Additionally, there’s a bank offer available on select cards. Users also get EMI options.
Now, as to if it’s worth it, it depends on your budget. If you are considering the Pixel 8 or Pixel 7 models, that’s likely because of the cheaper pricing. And it’s great to buy phones at affordable prices a year later if they receive frequent updates. The Pixel 8 models get up to 7 years of OS and security updates, whereas, the Pixel 7a has 3 years of OS and 5 years of security updates. That said, for Pixel fans, both are worth the value for their discounted prices.
