OpenAI is all set to introduce the Strawberry AI engine pretty soon in the market. In a report published by The Information, it has been said that OpenAI has updated the timeline of the Strawberry AI launch and it can make a debut as soon as in the next two weeks. Speculations are that we will get to see the new AI model by Open AI in the DevDay 2024 event. Also Read: Is OpenAI's Project Strawberry GPT-5 in the making?
The same report also suggests that insights related to the upcoming model tested by two people. As claimed, Strawberry AI only takes 10 to 20 seconds to think before generating outputs. However, it takes a little more time in order to decode complex information and deliver accurate responses. Now, according to the testers, waiting more just to get answers that show little improvement is not worth it.
Furthermore, Strawberry AI also takes more time (a couple of extra seconds) to provide the answers to simple queries. This could emerge as a major issue with the upcoming AI model by OpenAI. One thing that could be cleared out to an extent here is that Strawberry AI is not the next-generation AI model by OpenAI. It is also being said that the GPT-5 is already under development.
As for Strawberry AI, it uses a higher number of compute resources and generates a higher number of tokens before each response as compared to GPT-4. Another major thing on the cards is that OpenAI will definitely hike the prices of the subscription for the model bundle.
Previous reports regarding revised pricing suggest that Open AI could make the subscription fee reach as high as $2000 for a month. If the price hike information holds any truth, then we can say that the latest AI model will get updated in the future to offer ultra-fast processing speed(because no one is going to pay $2000 a month for a mediocre AI model).
