Google Veo AI and Imagen 3

Google has officially launched Veo 3, its latest AI-powered video generation tool, in India. It must be noted that it was first revealed at Google I/O in May, and now the tool is finally rolling out in countries where the Gemini app is available. That means it is coming to India too. To access Veo 3, you will need a Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscription.

This move brings one of Google’s most talked-about AI features to Indian creators, offering new possibilities in how short videos are made, shared, and experienced.

What Can Veo 3 Do?

Veo 3 lets you create 8-second AI-generated videos — complete with sound, background music, and synthesised speech. Whether you’re trying to reimagine a historical moment through a creative lens or cook up a surreal scene like slicing a glass apple, the tool invites all sorts of experimentation.

You can generate scenes with characters that talk, include cinematic sound effects, and even add a musical backdrop — all within a few seconds of video. Google is pushing Veo 3 as a creative sandbox powered by AI, allowing for unique content that blends visuals and audio seamlessly.

Watermark will be there!

While it may not look good to many, but Google says it is serious about the responsible use of AI. That’s why every video generated using Veo 3 includes two types of watermarks:

  • A visible watermark that identifies the content as AI-generated.
  • An invisible SynthID watermark is embedded in the video for extra verification.

Additionally, Google has taken steps like red teaming and model evaluation to minimise risks and ensure the platform isn’t misused.

How to Get It

If you’re in India and have access to the Gemini Pro subscription, you can now try out Veo 3. The tool is part of Google’s broader push to make generative AI more accessible, creative, and safe.
