YouTube to stop Deepfake videos of creators with this AI tool. Here's how it will work.
YouTube users have been asking for an essential feature for years- a way to search inside their vast playlist without scrolling endlessly. It seems Google is finally taking notes and working on this important feature and solving this long-standing frustration. As per the report, the tech giant is planning to bring a feature that will allow you to search your playlist without scrolling continuously. Nevertheless, the update has not been widely released, but early reports and signs suggest that YouTube Music might be preparing to roll out search support inside your playlist.
A few users have recently spotted the ‘Find My Playlist’ feature inside their YouTube Music app. A Reddit user in India shared a screenshot of finding the upcoming feature on his playlist. The feature was spotted on version 8.45.3 of the app, indicating that Google may have quietly enabled it for selected accounts.
However, even with this new ability, the user mentioned that radios saved in their library still don’t support internal search.
The Find My Playlist feature in YouTube is not witnessed by many Android and iOS users running the same version of the app. It means the feature is currently part of the A/B testing phase, and hence, will be rolled out in the coming months.
Find My Playlist feature may seem like a basic function, but users have been waiting for it for years, indicating YouTube Music’s biggest usability gap. Users who love listening to music have created massive playlists over the years, and hence, without a built-in search feature, they are puzzled and indulge in the tiring process of endlessly scrolling through their playlists.
Desktop browser extensions have been the only workaround, leaving mobile users without a convenient solution.
If the feature is rolled out globally in the coming months, then it will appear in the three-dot menu beside playlists, easily available for users. The feature will improve day-to-day navigation on the app.
There’s no official announcement from YouTube or Google about the upcoming feature, and only a handful of reports are emerging. It appears the tech giant is still testing and will review how the feature will perform in real-time. It means you have to wait a little longer to see whether YouTube Music finally releases this long-awaited feature.
