While announcing it officially, Meta and WhatsApp have shared a blog post revealing the WhatsApp app for your Apple Watch, which lets you minimise the usage of your iPhone to a minimum when it comes to WhatsApp. What all can it do, and who can use it? WhatsApp app for Apple Watch Features

WhatsApp has revealed that the WhatsApp app will let you access several features, such as:

• You can check who’s calling right from your Apple Watch without picking up your iPhone.
• Full message support is finally here! You can read complete WhatsApp messages directly on your wrist, even long ones show up clearly.
• Now, type and send replies straight from your watch whenever you need to respond quickly.
• Record and send voice notes right from your Apple Watch.
• Reply instantly with emoji reactions to messages you receive.
• Photos and stickers now appear clearer on the Apple Watch display.
• You can scroll through and view more of your recent chat history while reading messages.

If you are worrying about privacy, then know these messages and WhatsApp features are end-to-end encrypted, even with the Apple Watch. “As always, your personal messages and calls remain private with end-to-end encryption.” 

Who Can Use It?

And as always, there are some limitations! The WhatsApp app for Apple Watch is available for the Apple Watch Series 4 and later versions, and it must be running on watchOS 10 and later versions. 

However, Meta has confirmed that this is just the beginning, and it will get better with the feedback from the users in the future.
