Google Discover's new feature will be a boon for TV and Movies Enthusiasts

Google Discover makes our lives pretty convenient by showing news and updates based on our interests. And that’s not it, the feed also allows us to add four cards at the top of the feed showing score updates, stick prices, air quality, and weather updates. Now, Google is possibly going to add another card at the top that will offer all the updates related to upcoming movies and TV shows.

A report published by Android Authority suggested that they have found the new Google card in the Google app’s latest beta update version 15.32.37.28. The techies also managed to enable the feature before the official rollout. Enabling the TV and Movies section on Discover will add a new card right below the search bar that will show the latest information related to upcoming movies and TV shows.

As seen in the screenshots shared by Android Authority, the card will consist of the movie titles and run time along with a minute preview of the movie poster. In addition, the TV and Movies card will also show if the movie is playing in theatres or just streaming on a particular platform.

As of now, the card for TV shows is not available on the beta version of the Google app. So it is unconfirmed if the app will show the TV shows’ title and platform or if it will also include the number of episodes that we are going to see in a season. As of now, Google has not shared any official update regarding the rollout of the feature for the masses. Speculations are that we will get to see the same pretty soon.

In parallel news, Google is also working on better search personalization for users. Google has revamped the account switch menu for the addition of a new ‘Search Personalization’ option.
