Jio has recently dropped a new Rs 198 plan for the users. This one is being hailed as the cheapest unlimited 5G plan by the network service provider. The plan comes with 14 Days validity and offers 2GB of 4G data, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day. And that’s not it, other plan benefits include a subscription to JioCloud, JioCinema, and JioTV. This could be dubbed the most affordable plan by Jio after the Rs 349 plan that offers 2GB data per day, unlimited 5G internet access, 100 SMS per day, and 28 days validity.
The Rs 198 unlimited 5G plan by Jio has almost similar benefits as the monthly plan except for the half validity. Now, if you recharge with the Rs 198 5G plan, it will cost you Rs 396. That is around Rs 47 more than the monthly plan plus the pain to recharge your phone every 14 days. Moreover, platforms like PhonePe, Paytm, and Google Pay, also charge a convenience fee between Re 1 to 3. So, users are suggested to go for the monthly plan for better pricing. However, if you are looking for an emergency plan, then the 198 plan could be better.
With the launch of the latest Rs 198 plan with unlimited 5G internet access, Jio has posed a competition alert in front of Airtel. The most affordable Airtel plan in the market right now is available for Rs 379 offering 30 days validity, 2GB 4G data per day, and unlimited 5G data access. While we agree that the monthly plan or Airtel is priced a little higher than the monthly Jio plan, the former also offers two days extra validity as compared to the latter. Apart from that, users can also go for data add-ons on both networks to get access to 5G data.
