State-run telecom operator BSNL has come up with a new prepaid recharge plan priced at Rs 199, aimed at users who want affordable data and calling benefits without burning a hole in their pocket.
The plan brings a mix of features that make it handy for students, travellers, and even those who want a reliable secondary SIM. With this pack, users get unlimited voice calls, 2GB of high-speed data per day, and 100 SMS per day. The validity is 28 days, making it a month-long option for budget-conscious users. Once the daily data quota runs out, speeds reduce to 40 kbps, which is only good enough for basic browsing.
A small catch is that this recharge is available only through the BSNL website or self-care app, though the operator is offering a 2% discount on the recharge amount.
BSNL is also pushing out a range of low-cost plans to cater to different needs. For instance:
The Rs 107 pack comes with 3GB total data and 200 minutes of calling for 35 days. After that, standard call and SMS rates apply.
The Rs 141 plan offers 1.5GB data per day, unlimited calls, and 200 SMS/day for a month.
The Rs 147 pack provides a one-time 10GB data allowance with unlimited calls for 30 days.
For everyday use, the Rs 149 plan is a popular choice with 1GB per day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day over 28 days.
With Jio and Airtel dominating the market, BSNL focuses on affordable, pocket-friendly packs that appeal to users who want value above everything else. The new Rs 199 plan fits right into that bracket, giving customers ample data, unlimited calls, and SMS at a price that doesn’t feel heavy on the pocket
