Gemini in Messages
Google is adding the Gemini AI chatbot to the Messages app. You can now access and start asking your queries without the need for a dedicated Gemini app. The Gemini app stays as it allows a lot more other features.
AI made captions for images
Google is rolling out a new feature on Android that will now auto-generate AI captions of photos in messages or images for the visually impaired. The company worked with low-vision and blind communities for the same.
Screen reader for Lens in Google Maps
Google is updating the Maps app with a new feature that will help you explore nearby places and identify places like ATMs, restaurants, and transit stations. The new screen reader tool will read aloud the name of the place and its details with just a tap on the place through the lens view on Maps.
Google Docs is getting handwritten annotations
Google Docs users can now add handwritten annotations from their Android device. Tablet users can use a stylus to do the same. This will save typing as annotating can be quicker for some than writing down using the phone's keyboard.

View health data from all apps in one place
Google-owned Fitbit app will now show health data collected from all devices in one place. With the Health Connect feature, the app will sync data from apps like MyFitnessPall, AllTrails, and Oura Ring. Once done, users can see all health data on the Fitbit app.
Switch between devices when playing Spotify Music
Spotify users on Android can now switch between devices when playing music. You can do that with the output switcher on Android's home screen. The ability was previously exclusive to YouTube Music.

Google Maps for WearOS now shows transit directions letting you leave your phone in your pocket and use your smartwatch standalone for navigation.
Access tickets and passes on your smartwatch
Google Wallet is now on WearOS, which means you can access all your tickers and passes on your smartwatch without the need to pull out the phone from your pocket.
Summarize long texts on Android Auto
Android Auto can now automatically summarize long texts while you are driving. It will also provide relevant replies or actions that you choose by a single tap. For instance, if someone asks When will you be here? - Android Auto will give you a recommendation to share ETA or start a call with the sender of the message.
