Samsung has announced a new education initiative in India, and this time, the focus is on helping students in Tamil Nadu get better access to digital and STEM learning. The tech giant, in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI), has launched DigiArivu, which is set to empower Students Through Tech, a program designed to strengthen digital and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education across government schools. Under DigiArivu, Samsung will support 10 government schools across Kancheepuram and Ranipet districts, impacting more than 3,000 students. The goal is simply to upgrade school infrastructure, introduce modern digital learning tools, and support teachers in adapting to tech-led classrooms. Samsung says its model is community-centric, meaning students, teachers, and local communities will all be involved in the transformation process. Samsung has revealed in a blog post that the programme was officially launched at The Anna Centenary Library in Chennai. The event was attended by Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Dr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, along with the district collectors of Kancheepuram and Ranipet-signaling the state’s support for strengthening digital and STEM learning in government schools.
