
Redmi has officially announced their Redmi Pad 2 that will debut on June 18. It will pack in some great features like a sleek design, stylus support, and a large battery at an aggressive price point. It will bring in some great upgrades and would be a versatile tablet for budget consumers. Here is everything you need to know about the Redmi Pad 2.
The Redmi Pad 2 comes equipped with an impressive 11-inch 2.5K screen with support for a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’s powered by the capable MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra processor, which is good enough for budget users and delivers robust performance for daily tasks, multimedia consumption, and light gaming.
Xiaomi has been teasing the Redmi Pad 2 and has been emphasising on its large screen and incredible battery life. Early teasers also highlighted its design, revealing that the tablet would be light and more compact. perfectly designed for on-the-go multimedia use. The tablet will mostly sport a premium metal unibody design giving a great in hand feel.
On the battery side, the Redmi Pad features a 9,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Complementing this, it also has quad speakers for an immersive audio experience, ensuring rich and clear sound.
Talking about the camera, the tablet includes an 8MP rear camera for capturing moments and a 5MP front camera for video calls and selfies. It also includes all connectivity options and comes in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular variants.
The biggest standout feature of this tablet is its stylus support, making it an excellent device for note taking, drawing, and more precise interactions.
The Redmi Pad has launched officially in Philippines and the base variant of the Redmi Pad 2, with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, is priced at PHP 10,499 (approx Rs 16,190), while the 8GB+256GB version costs PHP 12,999 (approx Rs 20,045). It comes in three colour options: grey, light blue, and silver. While exact Indian pricing and available variants will be officially confirmed at the June 18 launch, these figures suggest the Redmi Pad 2 could launch under Rs 20,000.
