IMC 2025: Reliance Jio Launches Safety-First JioBharat Phones, Introduces AI Classroom For Students

Reliance JioBharat Phones price in India Jio announced two new initiatives that focus on safety and digital learning – the JioBharat Phones with safety-first features and the Jio AI Classroom programme. The announcements were made at the India Mobile Congress 2025, which kickstarted today. JioBharat Phones with Safety Features

The new JioBharat Phones, starting at Rs 799, are built to keep users connected while giving them control over who can reach them. These handsets come with safety-focused features such as location tracking and a usage manager, along with a long-lasting battery that is claimed to power the device for up to seven days on a single charge. The usage manager is designed especially for families. It lets parents or guardians choose who can call or message the user and automatically blocks unknown numbers. Jio says this feature will help protect children, elderly family members, and women from spam or unwanted calls. The phones also let users share their location with family members, which can be useful in emergencies.

Jio says the new handsets are ideal for children who need a basic device without the distractions of social media. They’re also being positioned as a reliable option for elderly users, thanks to their simple interface and long battery life. The JioBharat Phones are available to buy through Jio Stores, JioMart, Amazon, Swiggy Instamart, and other retailers across India.

Jio AI Classroom for Students

Apart from the phones, Jio also launched the Jio AI Classroom, a free foundation course on artificial intelligence (AI) developed in partnership with Jio Institute. The AI Classroom programme will be accessible through JioPC. The course will introduce students to the world of artificial intelligence and show them how to use AI tools for learning and creativity.

Students can access this course on their PCs, laptops, or smart TVs using JioPC. It covers key topics such as AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, and practical applications, and wraps up with a capstone project to help learners apply what they’ve learned in real-world scenarios. Students who complete the course through JioPC will get access to advanced tools and a certificate from Jio Institute, while others will receive a completion badge.
