Honor has launched its latest flagship smartphones – the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro – in China on Wednesday. The devices are powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and run on Android 16-based MagicOS 10. Honor Magic 8 has been priced at CNY 4,499 (approx. Rs 55,400) for the base model with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The 12GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 4,799 (approx. Rs 59,100) and the 16GB + 512GB model is priced at CNY 4,999 (approx. Rs 61,600). The top-end 16GB + 1TB variant will set you back by CNY 5,499 (approx. Rs 67,800). The Magic 8 Pro, on the other hand, starts at CNY 5,699 (approx. Rs 70,200) for the 12GB + 256GB model. Honor Magic 8 Pro Specifications, Features

The Honor Magic 8 Pro sports a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution (1,256 x 2,808 pixels), up to 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 6,000 nits HDR peak brightness. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, coupled with Adreno 840 GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of internal storage.

In terms of cameras, the Magic 8 Pro features a triple lens unit on the rear. It includes a 50MP 1/1.3-inch primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 200MP 1/1.4-inch telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The cameras are backed by AIMAGE Honor Nox Engine and are claimed to deliver CIPA 5.5 image stabilisation. On the front, the phone houses a 50MP camera for selfies along with a 3D depth sensor.

Under the hood, the Magic 8 Pro packs a 7,200mAh battery that supports 100W fast wired and 80W wireless charging. It runs on Android 16-based MagicOS 10. Other features include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and IP68+IP69+IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
