Honor Magic 8 Pro leaked images (via Innogyan)
Honor has officially revealed new camera details about its upcoming flagship, the Honor Magic 8 Pro, ahead of its October 16 launch in China. The company confirmed that the smartphone will feature a 200MP telephoto camera – a major leap in its imaging capabilities – along with advanced AI-driven enhancements and industry-leading image stabilisation. The device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and run MagicOS 10 out of the box. Also Read: Xiaomi 17 Ultra In The Works? In a recent Weibo post (via GSMArena), Honor teased the Magic 8 Pro’s telephoto camera setup, confirming that it will feature a 200MP sensor with a 1/1.4-inch size and an f/2.6 aperture. The camera system will be backed by the company’s in-house AIMAGE Honor Nox Engine for image processing. What makes this setup stand out is its CIPA 5.5-stop image stabilisation, which Honor claims is the first of its kind in the smartphone industry. CIPA – the Camera and Imaging Products Association – sets global standards for camera performance. In practical terms, this means the Magic 8 Pro’s camera can compensate for hand shakes and vibrations well enough to let users shoot at shutter speeds around 45 times slower than they normally could without blur. Apart from the camera upgrades, the Honor Magic 8 Pro is expected to sport a quad-curved display and a curved back panel. Early hands-on images that surfaced online show the phone in a white finish, along with a pill-shaped cutout on the front – a design element that looks quite similar to the Honor Magic 7 Pro.
Under the hood, the smartphone will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The device will also ship with MagicOS 10, offering new AI features and smoother performance.
With the 200MP telephoto camera and improved stabilisation, the Honor Magic 8 Pro appears set to take smartphone photography a step further when it launches next week – positioning itself as one of the most camera-focused flagships of the year.
