With esports and gaming booming, more brands are pushing the limits of displays. HKC has done something that takes this to a whole new extreme. The brand has launched a gaming monitor that claims to be the world’s first native 800 Hz refresh rate display. This is a complete insane-level display and would be a delight for competitive gamers.
Apart from the 800Hz high refresh rate, this display features a 24.5-inch Full HD VA panel. The panel is developed in-house using HKC’s FSA VA technology and a-Si HyperSilicon high-frequency drive. It also supports variable refresh rate, allowing the display to go from 48Hz all the way up to 800Hz. Additionally, the monitor boasts a 0.5ms GtG response time for ultra-low latency. This is perfect for battle royale games like Call of Duty and Fortnite and would be a feast for all the Esport players.
Talking more about the display, the monitor packs a Mini LED backlight with 1152 local dimming zones and a cadmium-free QDEF quantum dot film for accurate and vivid colours. Apart from this, it offers a colour gamut of 95% DCI-P3 and 99% Adobe RGB. This means that not only is it great for gaming, but the display is also colour-accurate enough for design and video editing purposes. And it doesn’t stop there, the display also supports native 10-bit colour with 12-bit rendering support.
HKC also includes all the smart gaming features like Nvidia G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Dynamic power-saving tech that scales down refresh rate during static content.
HKC showcased a very similar monitor at CES 2025 called the Koorui G7 prototype, which used a TN panel. But this one uses a completely different panel and pushes things further with a native 800 Hz refresh rate. The launch date and pricing for this 800 Hz monitor haven’t been revealed by the brand yet. However, considering that HKC has now officially showcased it, we could see an announcement from the brand very soon.
