FASTAG (1)

The government of India is hellbent on revolutionizing the country’s usage of FASTag. And now, they have proposed an annual and a lifetime pass for the private vehicle owners. These passes will work as a boon for the people who are supposed to or want to go on frequent trips using the national highways of the country. And this will also help the government in getting a decent amount of lump sum toll tax from the interested consumers as well.

The Government of India has proposed an annual toll pass with a one-time payment of Rs 3,000 for unlimited use of national highways and expressways as per the report published by Times of India. Apart from that, the government has also introduced a lifetime toll pass that will be valid for 15 years straight and the users will be supposed to pay a one time fee of Rs 30,000.

The latest passes will make the collection of tolls simple for the government of India across all the toll booths present in the country. In addition, the passes will be integrated with the current FASTag of the people for unlimited expressway and national highway access.

As for the working, the annual toll pass for private cars will allows the users to have unlimited access to expressways and national highways. Once the user has purchased the pass, they will not be supposed to pay a penny until next year.
