Apple has announced that its Apple TV+ subscription is getting a price hike, again! Apple has confirmed that its streaming service in the United States will get around 30 percent price. This is not the first time Apple has hiked the price of the Apple TV Plus subscription for the third time in the last three years. Now, Apple TV+ subscription costs $12.99 per month after the latest price hike. Earlier, it used to cost only $4.99, which was later raised to $6.99 in the US in October 2022. Later in 2023, it was again hiked to $9.99 per month. Also Read: Apple TV+ is now available on the Google Play Store
On the other hand, the annual subscription of Apple TV+ in the US will remain unchanged, which costs $99. The price of the Apple One subscription model, which bundles several Apple services such as Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud+ and others, remains unchanged. Well, this is not clear as Apple hasn’t officially released any statement regarding the reason for the Apple TV+ subscription price hike. However, some reports suggest that the lack of advertisements or the expansion of library content can be the factors behind the price hike.
The good news is that the Apple TV+ subscription is not getting any price hike. The cost of the TV streaming service will remain at Rs 99 per month in India. So, at least Indian users don’t need to worry about the latest price hike. Apple TV+ comes with Apple Original shows and movies. However, you can also get it free as a 7-day of free trial on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or any other streaming platform. Interestingly, Android users can even now download the Apple TV+ app from the Google Play Store. Moreover, if you buy an Apple device, you can also get a free trial of an Apple TV+ subscription for three months.
