Apple AirPods Pro 3 May Launch Along With iPhone 17: Everything We Know So Far

Apple’s much-awaited event on September 9 is almost here, and while all eyes are on the iPhone 17 lineup, the company may have another surprise in store – the AirPods Pro 3. Rumours strongly suggest that Apple will unveil the AirPods Pro 3 alongside the iPhone 17 and Apple Watch Series 11. Apple usually announces new audio products at its September keynotes, so this timing makes sense. AirPods Pro 3 New Design and Features

The AirPods Pro have looked the same for years, but a redesign is said to be on the cards. Expect a slimmer charging case with USB-C, Bluetooth 5.4 support for lower latency, and a faster H3 chip to improve active noise cancellation.

Health features are likely to be a major highlight. Reports suggest that in-ear heart rate monitoring and even temperature sensing could be added, turning AirPods into more than just audio devices. Apple has already hinted at such ambitions with features like hearing health tracking in recent updates. 

On the interaction side, Apple is exploring new touch controls, where gestures could work even if you’re wearing gloves. Sleep detection, head gesture controls, and remote camera shutter functions (introduced in iOS 26) should also make their way to the AirPods Pro 3.

One of the more interesting features could be built-in infrared cameras, as it may unlock spatial computing features, better spatial audio, and gesture-based controls. However, this feature may not be ready for this year’s model and could push mass production to 2026. 

AirPods Pro 3 Price (Expected)

The current AirPods Pro 2 cost Rs 24,900 in India, and with all the new health sensors and hardware upgrades, the AirPods Pro 3 are likely to carry a slightly higher price tag. However, the price and the final specifications of the AirPods Pro 3 are still unknown.
