Samsung has ruled the foldable smartphone industry for a long time and that’s a fact. In the past few months, we got to know about the triple-fold phone patent filed by Samsung. While there are no updates regarding the device until now, DSCC analyst Ross Young said that the triple-fold Samsung device will make a debut in the global market in 2026.
Ross Young’s latest post on X.com suggested that the Samsung Galaxy tri-fold smartphone will launch in early 2026. He stated that while replying to a user comment on his post on the platform. Previous rumors related to the device suggested that it will make a debut in 2025.
Going with the latest rumors, we can say that the triple-fold smartphone of Samsung will be launched a few months ahead of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Both the mentioned devices are not going to make an official appearance anytime before the second half of 2025.
Keeping the leaks in mind, the Samsung Galaxy triple-fold smartphone’s display will be sized around 9 to 10 inches in the unfolded state. The South Korean tech giant recently got a patent for the same from the US Patent and Trademark Office along with a flexible display as well. While the information related to the upcoming Samsung Prodigy is pretty limited, we can get to know more about the same in 2025.
For your information, Huawei became the first brand to launch a triple-folding smartphone in the market. However, the phone is only available in China and the chances of the device making it to the global market are minimal. This will surely give Samsung an upper hand in the global market.
