It is safe to say that Samsung dominates the foldable phone market. And this year, the South Korean giant is all set to take this a step ahead. Rumors have it that the brand will most probably launch four new foldable phones in the market this year. We can expect to see Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, and even the Galaxy Tri-fold.
There are chances that the upcoming tri-fold smartphone from the brand will offer a 9.9 or a 10-inch display in the phone. As of now, Samsung is planning to drop 200,000 units of the smartphone in the market. Keeping that the smartphone will be folding from both sides and is one of a kind, we can expect to launch it at a considerably high price as compared to other foldable offerings from Samsung.
Coming to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, the device will bring an upgraded camera system, processors, and display as compared to the predecessors. Most probably, the smartphones will be shipping with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor which is a leap forward as compared to what we got to see in the predecessors. Apart from that, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will most probably be Samsung’s first step to making the lineup affordable so that it can reach more audiences.
Starting with the tri-fold phone on the cards, Huawei has already released a triple fold device in the market but that is exclusively available in China. Now, Samsung’s step is going to make a triple fold device available to all. However, the major challenge here will be managing the cost of the device.
According to the Indian currency, the device is priced at Rs 2,35,000. This means, the Samsung device will also be priced somewhere around the same range. And it will pose a major challenge in front of Samsung in order to convince the fans to invest in a device that folds three times and that’s the USP.
