
Samsung is expected to launch the fifth generation of its foldable smartphone lineup that will include Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. It is likely to debut some time in the summer of 2023 with a few upgrades over its predecessor, reported The Pulse. The report adds that one of the key highlights of the smartphone will include a dedicated holder for S-Pen.
The report reveals Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is likely to come with an S-Pen holder which will make it even more productive for the user. However, this is expected to result in a thicker width and heavier device. The latest model is 275gm in weight and 6.5mm in thickness when unfolded.
In terms of chipset, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 989 5G SoC. However, the latest Galaxy Z Fold 4 is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, so chances are the upcoming Fold model might come with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with a 7.6-inch QXGA+ display with 2176 x 1812 pixel resolution, Dynamic AMOLED panel that has a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. It features a 6.2-inch secondary display with HD+ resolution. It is an Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) with a 23.1:9 aspect ratio. This screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
The foldable smartphone features a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50MP main OIS-supported lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom and OIS support. It has a 10MP camera on the front and a 4MP Under-display camera inside the foldable screen.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The handset is equipped with a 4,400mAh battery that supports 25W wired and 15W wireless fast charging support.
