Redmi has quietly launched a new smartphone in India dubbed Redmi A3x. As the name suggests, the smartphone comes in the entry-level segment and offers a modest specs sheet. The smartphone is already available for purchase on Xiaomi India website. This comes soon after the product listing of the device on Amazon. Redmi A3x price in India and availability

The Redmi A3x is priced at Rs 7,999 in India for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. There’s also a base variant with 3GB RAM + 64GB storage that costs Rs 6,999. The smartphone has multiple colour options such as Midnight Black, Ocean Green, Olive Green, and Starry White. Buyers can purchase the smartphone on the Xiaomi India website and Amazon India portal.

Redmi A3x specifications and features

The Redmi A3x has almost the same design as the Redmi A3. The smartphone features a polycarbonate built on the back. It has a circular camera on the rear and a larger water-drop notch screen on the front. It has a 6.7-inch LCD panel with an HD+ resolution. It has a 90Hz refresh rate with 500 nits of peak brightness. It has a noticeable amount of bezels on all sides, especially the chin. For protection, Xiaomi has offered a Corning Glass 3.

The smartphone has a dual camera on the rear with an 8MP main lens and a 0.08-inch auxiliary sensor. Upfront, there’s a single camera for clicking selfies and doing video calls. The device has a couple of camera modes as well for those willing to use them.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T603 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. As said above, it has two options for RAM and storage, i.e. 3GB of RAM + 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM + 128GB of storage. There’s a microSD card for those who want to expand the storage.

The device runs on Android 14 OS out of the box and has MIUI on top. It has the following connectivity options: dual-SIM 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and GPS. It also has a USB-C port for data transfer and a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting wired headphones.
