Motorola Edge 50 Fusion launch alongside Edge 50 Pro likely

Motorola will launch the Edge 50 Pro smartphone in India on April 3, but it will not be the only one to make its debut. There may be a less powerful and less pricey Motorola Edge 50 Fusion in the launch pipeline. A new report has suggested that this phone will accompany the Edge 50 Pro at the launch event to give customers more options. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has also been leaked ahead of the launch, revealing the full look of this trimmed-down Edge 50 Pro version.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion look

Android Headlines has shared what looks like the official renders of the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. The phone looks very similar to the Edge 50 Pro with a vertical dual-camera design on the back and a curved display on the front. The camera island looks slightly elevated from the rest of the back panel, which will come in three colours: ballad blue, peacock pink, and tidal teal. The back design includes a textured finish for the last two colour options, while the ballad blue uses a vegan leather finish.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion specifications

According to the report, the Edge 50 Fusion will have a 6.7-inch pOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The display’s refresh rate and brightness levels are unclear at the moment. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor will power the smartphone, which the phone’s listing on the Geekbench benchmarking platform also recently confirmed recently. It will have 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Edge 50 Fusion will come preloaded with Android 14.

The cameras on the back of the phone will include a 50MP main sensor with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 13MP ultrawide camera. The front camera inside the display’s punch-hole will use a 32MP wide sensor. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will be IP68-rated and pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion’s expected price

The report also mentioned that the Edge 50 Fusion may cost around $300 in India. That is equal to about Rs 25,000. The Edge 50 Fusion’s launch will likely take place on April 3 alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Pro.
