iQOO Z9s 5G Launched in India with MediaTek Dimensity 7300 and 50MP camera

iQOO has officially launched the iQOO Z9s 5G series in India including two smartphones- iQOO z9s and iQOO z9s Pro. The company has also launched iQOO TWS 1e earbuds. Positioned as a mid-range 5G smartphone, the iQOO Z9s is designed to cater to the needs of tech enthusiasts and gamers alike, offering a blend of powerful hardware, vibrant display, and fast charging capabilities at an attractive price point.

Design and Display

Both the smartphone boasts a 6.67-inch Curved AMOLED display with resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the Pro variant comes with up to 4500 nits peak brightness. The smartphones are available in Titanium Matte and Onyx Green colors, appealing to a wide range of users. There’s an In-Display fingerprint sensor in iQOO z9s 5G.

Performance and Software

At the heart of the iQOO Z9s is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with octa-core 2.5GHz*4+2.0GHz*4 and 4nm TSMC process technology. Whereas, the iQOO Z9s Pro 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. This octa-core processor is paired with Mali-615 GPU. The smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 and will get 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates. The phone packs 3000 mm² VC Liquid Cooling System.

Camera System

Both the smartphone from the iQOO z9s series sports a versatile dual-camera setup on the rear, headlined by a 50MP IMX882 primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture as well as a 2MP Bokeh. The iQOO Z9s Pro 5G also feature an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, which is replaced by a 2MP depth sensor in the Z9s.

The Primary Camera has add on features including, Portrait, Night, Panorama, Ultra HD, Slo-mo, Time-Lapse, Supermoon, Dual View, and Live Photo. On the front, the smartphone features a 16MP selfie camera with features like Live Photo, Dual-View, and Portrait.

Battery and Charging

One of the standout features of the iQOO z9s and iQOO z9s Pro is its large 5,500mAh battery, supporting 44W charging technology in z9s and 80W fast charging in the Z9s Pro. The width of iQOO z9s is 7.5cm, height is 16.372cm, and thickness is 0.749cm. The smartphone weighs 180gm.

Connectivity

As a 5G smartphone, the iQOO Z9s series is compatible with multiple 5G bands, ensuring widespread network support across India. The device also includes dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port for versatile connectivity options.

Sensors in iQOO z9s and iQOO z9s Pro include, In-display optical fingerprint sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity Sensor, E-compass, and Gyroscope. The smartphone is launched with IP64 dust and water resistance.

Media:

The company is offering pre-installed social media apps like, TrueCaller, Snapchat, PhonePe, Netflix, Linkedin, HotApps, HotGames, Facebook, DailyHunt, Amazon, Iqoo.COM, GameSpace, and V-Appstore. Google Services like Calender, Chrome, Docs, Files, Gmail, Google, Maps, Meet, Messages, Photos, Sheets, Slides, and Youtube is an additional add-on.

iQOO z9s series comes with AnTuTu score of 7L+.

Pricing and Availability

The iQOO Z9s is available in India in three storage options including 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB with LPDDR4X RAM. The price of iQOO z9s starts at Rs 17,999 and iQOO z9s Pro is priced at Rs 21,999. The iQOO TWS 1e is priced at Rs 1,899.

The sale of iQOO Z9s will start from 29th August. However, the iQOO z9s Pro and iQOO TWS 1e will be available from 23rd August 2024.
