While there are several rumours about the upgrades and design makeover that these models are expected to bring to the table, a latest leak hinted that the top-end iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max are expected to support reverse charging technology for the first time on an iPhone. If you are using a mid-range or premium Android phone, chances are that your phone already has this charging feature. Also Read: 6 Best Premium Tablets For Office Work: Which One You Should Buy
It simply allows your phone to transfer battery charge to other devices, which means your phone works as a power bank! Many Android phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, Google Pixel 10, Xiaomi 15 Ultra and others, already have this feature.
“Apple has tested the 7.5W reverse charging function on the iPhone 17 Pro. I wonder if it will be open for use this time… In fact, this function is very practical for emergency charging of headphones. I often use this function when I use Samsung,” a tipster on Chinese social media platform Weibo revealed.
As mentioned, the feature is said to be tested! That means, it is still unclear whether the iPhone 17 Pro models will get this reverse charging feature or not.
Apart from this reverse charging feature, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max are tipped to get a major redesign with a wider camera module at the back. Apart from this, the Pro models are also expected to get a triple camera setup, each of 48MP at the back. Even the front camera is also tipped to get a pixel boost with a 24MP selfie camera.
