IMC 2024: Xiaomi A4 5G announced with Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor

In IMC 2024, Xiaomi has launched a new smartphone, Redmi A4, with 5G connectivity under the price bracket of Rs 10,000. The best part about the same is that Xiaomi has partnered with Qualcomm to ship the phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor. As claimed by Xiaomi India president Muralikrishnan B, the commercial launch of the smartphone will take place by the end of 2024.

Xiaomi A4 5G specifications and features

As of now, all the information regarding the specifications and features of the upcoming budget smartphone by Xiaomi. Speculations are that it will get a large 6.7-inch display. In the official videos of the device, we can see it has a flat display with rounded edges.

At the back, we can see the round camera module consisting of a dual rear camera setup including a 50_MP primary shooter. This could also make the Xiaomi A4 the phone with the highest pixel under the price bracket of Rs 10,000. The device has a 3.5mm jack at the top and will be shipped in two color options – silver and black.

As for the processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor is based on a 4nm processing node and offers support for up to 90FPS FHD+ display along with 12-bit ISP camera support. The processor comes with a robust modem for Gigabit 5G connectivity and also supports NAVIC and dual-frequency GNSS.

The smartphone marks the debut of 5G for the initiative. At an affordable price, 5G connectivity benefits can be enjoyed by a large audience that has a limited budget for making a smartphone purchase and is looking for a device that can offer 5G. It will be interesting to see if other brands like Realme, iQOO, and more, follow in the footsteps of Xiaomi or not.
