HMD launches new Nokia feature phones with USB-C port and up to dual cameras

HMD is back with new Nokia feature phones. The Finnish phone maker has unveiled not one, but three feature phones with differentiating features from each other. Some of the highlights of these phones include a USB Type-C port, which means it is easier to charge them, a comparatively big battery, and a camera in some models.

Nokia 6310 (2024)

The Nokia 6310 is a feature phone with a curvy design. It has curves on the sides and comes in a four-tone colour, depending on the variant. It has a mix of green, black, off-white, and a bit of golden on the OK button. The device sports a 2.8-inch LCD display with the Nokia brand just above the screen. There’s also the earpiece above the logo.

It has protruded clicky keys for dialling phone numbers as well as for text typing. It has a single VGA camera on the back with an LED flash just below it. And of course, there’s a Nokia branding on the back. It is a dual-SIM phone with 2G capabilities. It has a  3.5mm headphone jack and packs a 1,450mAh removable battery. Nokia claims that the phone can offer a standby time of up to 27 days. Charging can be done with the USB Type-C port.

Nokia 5310 (2024)

The Nokia 5310 2024 edition is for music lovers. It comes with a volume up and down key on the side coloured in Red making us reminisce about the Xpress Music days. The phone, again, has a curvy body coloured in white. The keys aren’t protruded on this one, like the 6310.

It sports a 2.8-inch LCD screen and is powered by a Unisoc 6531F processor. It comes with a single VGA camera on the rear.  It houses a 1,450mAh battery that can offer good battery life. This one also has a USB Type-C charging. It has dual speakers for loud audio and a 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting wired earphones.

Nokia 230 (2024)

The Nokia 230 is a sturdier phone with an aluminium back. It has a 2.8-inch TFT screen with QVGA resolution. It has a removable 1,450mAh battery that is claimed to offer the same 27 days of standby. It has a 2MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. For both cameras, Nokia has given an LED flash to help click pictures in the low light.

It is powered by a Unisoc 6531F processor paired with 8MB of RAM and 16MB of internal storage. It has a microSD slot for additional storage of up to 32GB. It is a dual-SIM phone with 2GB connectivity. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a single speaker.

These phones can now be purchased in select global markets. Unfortunately, none of these Nokia phones are available in India and we aren’t sure if they will arrive here.
