The upcoming global event will see the unveiling of future of foldable technology by Samsung. Although the company has been notoriously quiet when it comes to a few base-level specifications, rumors and hints are increasingly circling around the fact that this is not simply a release that will come by with yearly improvements; there will quite possibly be a look at what Samsung has planned as the next big design step.
Samsung has already started its pre-reservation program in India. Customers can secure early access to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold, Z Flip, and Watch 8 series by paying Rs 1,999. Those who pre-book will receive benefits worth up to Rs 5,999 during the final purchase.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 will come with significant improvements compared to its predecessor. Much thinner and slimmer appearance has been revealed in leakage pictures with a re-designed camera bump. Interestingly, it appears Samsung is going back to a hole-punch front-facing camera on the inner display, leaving behind under-display camera technology, which it applied to the preceding several generations of phones.
To a certain extent, Samsung has already strongly suggested that the AI additions to this yearfoldables will be user-centric. Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have extreme Galaxy AI integration not only in isolated applications but also in the system interface. The company hinted that AI will revolutionize the way the users interact with the machine and they further stated the new experience to be: “AI will be UI.”
An even higher-end variant of the Fold 7, provisionally known as the Ultra, is also likely to arrive. The version is also likely to exceed limits in terms of performance, camera features and smart tools that help the user operate. The words of Samsung make it clear that the company is heavily invested in the concept of creativity and productivity, where bigger things are displayed, clearer routes are created, and AI-driven voice capabilities are essential.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung persistent clamshell-style foldable, will reportedly change chipsets, moving away from Snapdragon to the company-owned Exynos 2500, a tip to a major internal shift. Even though the camera setup might remain the same, there is going to be an improvement with the help of the ProVisual Engine.
The flip 7 could also have bigger cover display of 4-inch and the OLEd panel consisting of blue phosphorescent technology to enhance the screen endurance and less consume power. It is also quite possible that there will be a Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model, which will be sold to a more economically cautious audience.
Perhaps the most thrilling part of the event, Samsung is expected to show a look at its first-ever tri-fold capability, which may be marketed as the Galaxy G Fold. The device could also be the first to be teased at this Unpacked event though it might be launching only in October 2025. Samsung has a long history of doing the same with its other product lines-announcing devices months in advance of their actual sales date.
Apart from smartphones, Samsung is anticipated to unveil the next-generation Galaxy Watch 8 series, alongside early teasers of its upcoming XR headset, codenamed Project Moohan. This could mark Samsung’s deeper entry into immersive tech.
