CMF Phone 1 India launch soon: Check design, specs, and price

Nothing’s spin-off brand CMF has confirmed the launch of its first smartphone dubbed CMF Phone 1. Flipkart has further confirmed its availability in India upon arrival. The upcoming smartphone from the Nothing sub-brand has got us all excited as it may offer something unique, and the promotional image of the phone, conveys just that. Let’s see what all can we expect from CMF’s first smartphone.

CMF Phone 1 India launch timeline, design, specs, and price

CMF by Nothing took to X to confirm the launch of its first smartphone called CMF Phone 1. By its name, we can guess that CMF may go by the Nothing standards, which means we are expected to get something unique. The launch date of the device has yet to be revealed, however, we can expect it to arrive in the next couple of months or even weeks.

While Nothing has revealed any particular information about the phone, the promotional poster shows a unique design, which appears to be the back of the phone. It has a vegan leather-esque back with a circular portion that’s probably for the lanyard. We have also seen such a design on CMF by Nothing Buds.

The Phone 1 is expected to be an affordable device, and it may feature a simple design albeit with flashy colours. It is rumoured to come with a 6.67-inch larger OLED display with an FHD+ resolution. The punch-hole panel may have a high refresh rate support of 120Hz. Expect some sort of protection on the screen.

Under the hood, it is speculated to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor paired with Mali-G610 MC4 GPU. This is similar to Phone 2a which has Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC. It’s a 4nm-based octa-core SoC. Expect the phone to have up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

The device is expected to be equipped with a dual-rear camera system with a 50MP main lens and an auxiliary sensor. Upfront, it has a 16MP lens for selfies. The packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It is expected to run on Nothing OS based on Android 14 OS.

Unfortunately, the CMF Phone 1 may not have the Glyph interface support like Nothing phones. However, we may get flashy solid colours to choose from. The device may also lack NFC support and may or may not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

CMF Phone 1 is expected to arrive in the budget segment. We guess that it may launch under the Rs 25,000 price bracket. As of now, there are scant details about the CMF Phone 1. However, we should learn more in the coming weeks.
