The ninth beta update of iOS 26 for iPhones resolves a bug that caused software updaes to take up more space than needed.
The update fixes stale data responses from Siri when powered by ChatGPT and resolves an issue with Image Playground and Genmoji modifiers, particularly affecting Japanese users. It also patches a Camera app bug where the mode picker stayed expanded, along with fixes for Kernel, Contacts, Journaling, lock screen, App Intents, and WebKit.
The stable iOS 26 release is expected to debut at Apple’s “Awe Dropping” event on September 9.
Apple will unveil the iPhone 17 series on September 9, scheduled for 10:30 PM IST. The lineup is expected to include the standard iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
