Share Samsung today hosted its first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year wherein it introduced the Galaxy S23 series smartphones. In addition to launching next-gen flagship smartphones, the company also introduced the Galaxy Book3 series laptop. The newly launched Galaxy Book3 series is the successor to last year’s Galaxy Book2 series and it includes three laptops — the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, Galaxy Book3 Pro and the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360. All the models in the Galaxy Book3 series laptops come with an AMOLED display, Windows 11 and Intel’s 13th-gen processors.
In addition to these, the Galaxy Book3 series laptops come with a host of smart features such as Link to Windows in the form of Microsoft Phone Link app, which gives users seamless phone-to-PC connectivity across operating systems. These laptops also come with Samsung’s Multi Control feature that lets users control their PC, Galaxy Tab and Galaxy smartphone with the Galaxy Book3 series’ keyboard and trackpad. Additionally, they support a functionality called Second Screen that turns the Galaxy Tab into an additional monitor.
The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra starts at $2,399.99 (Rs 1,96,830 approx.) in the US, while the Galaxy Book3 Pro starts at $1449.99 (Rs 1,18,846 approx.) and the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 starts at $1899.99 (Rs 1,55,730 approx.) in the US. The company says that the Galaxy Book3 Pro, and the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 will be available in select markets starting February 17, while the Galaxy Book3 Ultra will be available in select markets starting February 22.
The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra comes with a 16-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with an adaptive screen refresh rate of up to 120Hz, 400 nits of peak brightness and 3K resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. It is powered by the 13th-gen Intel processor in Core i9 and Core i7 configuration with support for Intel EVO platform. On the graphics front, the laptop is available in either NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU options. It comes in 16GB and 32GB LPDDR5 RAM options and up to 1TB of PCle storage space. It runs the Windows 11 OS and it backed by a 76Wh battery.
The Galaxy Book3 Ultra comes with a web camera with a full HD resolution of 1080p and studio-quality Dual Mic and a island-type backlit keyboard. On the audio front, the laptop has AKG Quad Speaker consisting of two 5W woofers and two 2W tweeters, along with support for Smart Amp and Dolby Atmos. On the connectivity front, it has WiFi 6E, Bluetooth v5.1, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB Type-A port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a microSD port,and a headphone/mic jack.
It comes in a single Graphite colour variant.
The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro comes in two screen variants. One with a 16-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and the other with a 14-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Both the variants come with an adaptive screen refresh rate of up to 120Hz, 400 nits of peak brightness, and 3K resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels.
As far as the internals are concerned, the Galaxy Book3 Pro is powered by the 13th-gen Intel processor in Core i7 and Core i5 configuration with support for Intel EVO platform. On the graphics front, the laptop has Intel Iris Xe graphics. It comes in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB LPDDR5 RAM options and up to 1TB of PCle SSD storage space. It runs the Windows 11 OS. While the 14-inch variant is backed by a 63Wh battery, the 16-inch variant is backed by a 76Wh battery.
