MSI Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition announced in CES 2025

MSI has announced new laptops at CES 2025 featuring the recently launched NVIDIA Geforce RTX 50 GPUs along with Intel and AMD processors. These laptops are not only gaming beasts but they also pack AI-based features as well. In simple terms, we can say that the mentioned machines can be used by editors, gamers, content creators, etc.

And the one that grabbed most of the eyeballs in the event was Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition. As the name suggests, the laptop is powerful with a vintage-inspired look. In the design, you can get to see a hand-drawn dragon motif and Nordic runes from the Norse Mythology.

Specifications and features

The MSI Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition weighs around 3.6 kg and has a cherry mechanical per-key RGB gaming keyboard with a dedicated Copilot key. The laptop runs on the Intel Core Ultrs 9 275HX processor along with Windows 11 Home operating system. The device can house up to 96GB RAM with two DDR5 slots. Apart from that, it has an 18-inch UHD+ MiniLED display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate.

For graphics, the laptop comes with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU 24GB GDDR7. It has another variant that ships with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU 16GB GDDR7. For audio purposes, the laptop brings 6 speaker system designed by Dynaudio along with an audio combo jack, Hi-Res Audio machinery, and more.

Connectivity options available in the device are two Thunderbolt 5 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, SD Express Memory Card Reader, an HDMI port, Bluetooth 5.4, and WiFi 7 support. The laptop houses a 99.9Whr vatter along with 400W fast charging support. As of now, the pricing of the device has not been revealed. Expectations are that the pricing will be announced in the first quarter of 2025 itself.
