How to create a sticker out of a photo on Instagram using Cutouts

Instagram has finally rolled out the Cutouts feature on the app. Users can use the new feature to create stickers on Instagram. You can create a sticker and post it to your story. In this article, we will show you how you can create a sticker out of a photo and post it on your Instagram Story.

Since this is the latest update, go ahead and update the Instagram app on your smartphone to the latest version. To do that on an Android phone, open PlayStore and search for Instagram. Tap on the Instagram app and update it. iOS users can follow the same process by heading to the App on their iPhone. Once you update the app, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Swipe from left to right in the Instagram app from the home screen to visit the camera section.

Step 3: Tap on the gallery icon that looks like a small square photo in the lower left corner.

Step 4: Select a Photo that you want to use as a background or the photo to which you want to apply the sticker.

Step 5: Once you open the photo, you should see the new Cutouts option at the bottom. If you don’t see it, tap on the sticker icon on the top to bring up the stickers menu.

Step 6: Now, select the Cutouts option, which should be located at the top of the stickers menu.

Step 7: After you tap on the Cutouts option, it will ask you to choose a photo that you want to convert into a sticker. So select a photo from the photo gallery that will pop up.

Step 8: Once you select a photo, Instagram will automatically create a sticker out of the photo. If you feel like it messed it up, you can choose to select the cutout of the photo manually by tapping on the select manually option. However, the feature usually is pretty accurate at cutting the background to create a sticker.

Step 9: Tap on Use sticker to use it in your Instagram Story. Now, move it anywhere you want to on the screen and tap on the share icon to post it.
