Sony Announces Marvel Tokon Closed Beta 2 For PS5: Here’s What’s New

Sony has announced the second Closed Beta for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, its upcoming team-based fighting game developed in collaboration with Arc System Works and Marvel Games. The next beta will go live for PlayStation 5 users on December 5, 2025, starting at midnight Pacific Time. Players will be able to test the game over a 72-hour period until December 7 at 11:59 PM. New Characters and Stages

The new beta adds two more playable characters – Spider-Man and Ghost Rider – expanding the roster to a total of eight heroes and villains. In this beta, players will be able to create their own four-character teams, choosing from a mix of heroes and villains from across the Marvel universe. Two new stages – Savage Land and X-Mansion – will also be part of this test. Both arenas come with their own interactive elements, adding more variation to the matches. These additions should make the gameplay feel fresher compared to the earlier beta held earlier this year.

Key Improvements

Based on feedback from players who tried the first test, the developers have made several changes. These include balance adjustments, improved visuals, smoother performance, and a refined user interface. Arc System Works has stated that more details about the updated systems and changes will be shared closer to the start date.

The second Closed Beta will include both CPU battles and online multiplayer modes on December 5 and 6. On the final day, December 7, players will be able to access online battles only.

Participation Details

Players who took part in the first Closed Beta will be automatically registered for this one. They will receive a reminder email from PlayStation before the test begins. Those who previously signed up but didn’t participate will also get new invitation emails in the coming weeks.

With the second Closed Beta approaching, PS5 players will soon have another opportunity to experience Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls ahead of its full launch.
