What’s Changing for You

From November 13, if you’re on a PS4 or Xbox One, you’ll no longer be able to access PUBG Console. Your account data, progress, and purchased items will still be safe, you just need to log in from a supported console to continue playing.

PS5 players will need to download the PS5 version from the PlayStation Store, while Xbox Series X|S players will get the update automatically via Smart Delivery.

Krafton says the shift will help reduce crash issues and allow for more advanced updates in the future.

Which Devices Will Support PUBG?

Don’t worry! Krafton has announced the supported devices too. If you’re upgrading, here’s what you can expect on current-gen systems:

  • Xbox Series S: 1080p/60fps or 1440p/30fps
  • Xbox Series X: 2160p (Dynamic 4K) at 60fps
  • PS5: 1440p at 60fps
  • PS5 Pro: 2160p (Dynamic 4K) at 60fps

These specs were finalised after internal testing to ensure stable gameplay and prepare for future content updates.

Players who purchased BATTLEGROUNDS Plus or PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS can request refunds, but these will follow each platform’s refund policy. Krafton suggests contacting your console’s customer support for details.

Moreover, Krafton has also announced that it will roll out a kernel-level anti-cheat system in August with the PUBG 37.1 update. This will detect suspicious activity at the operating system level and remove offenders in real-time, aiming to make matches fairer for everyone.
