PUBG Mobile is one of the best Battle Royale games worldwide, with millions of fans playing it daily. In a major update, Krafton is rolling out PUBG Mobile 4.0 today on September 4, 2025, with fresh content and spooky themes. In addition, there are major gameplay improvements. What’s more interesting is that for Indian players, the gaming company launched BGMI in 2021, which mirrors most PUBG updates. So BGMI is also expected to get the same content in the coming weeks.

Adding to the thrill, Krafton also added new vehicles and weapons, including a magic broom that allows players to fly across maps. There are floating balloons, too, that help in short bursts of gliding mobility.
On the weapons front, the Mortar makes its debut, offering explosive attacks with both quick strike and precise targeting modes. Players will also get access to a Guardian Shield, which not only defends but can push enemies back.
Under PUBG Mobile 4.0 update, Krafton also made some gameplay improvements, including the optimization of the Reloading so that leftover bullets from a previous magazine can be carried over to the next one.
Additionally, the update also enhances mounted firing on two-wheelers, giving backseat players more stability while shooting. Naval combat feels smoother, too, thanks to improved boat movement in water.
