PlayStation Republic Day Sale is live; Get the consoles at discounted prices

The PlayStation Republic Day sale is coming live in India. And with this one, the players will be able to get the PlayStation 5 Slim disc edition and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console at discounted prices. The sale started today January 17, 2025, and it will go on until January 26. The players can get the mentioned consoles at a Rs 4,000 discount.

With the discounts, the effective price of the PlayStation 5 Slim disc edition will be Rs 50,990 instead of its original price which is Rs 54,990. Apart from that, the PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition, the console will be available for a price of Rs 40,990 down from its original price of Rs 44,990.

The poster for the official announcement mentions the sale process along with the participating retailers. It has been confirmed that the consoles will be available at discounted prices from Amazon India, Blinkit, Vijay Sales, Flipkart, ShopAtSC, and Croma.

PlayStation 5 Slim features that you should know

The PlayStation 5 Slim is the slimmer variant of the PS5. The console gets a body with 30% lesser volume as compared to the regular PS5. And this one also weighs around 24% less than the original edition. Sony also increased the storage of the device to 1TB.

For obvious reasons, the digital edition does not get the disc drive but users can get the disc drive from the official PlayStation Store. Pretty recently, Sony also launched the PlayStation 5 Pro in the global market. However, the brand was unable to launch the console in the Indian market due to network band issues going on in the country. However, the PS enthusiasts found different third party platforms to purchase the latest Pro variant of the PS5 in India.
